Judiciary Non-Civil Committee (Georgia House)
The House Judiciary Non-Civil Committee is a 14 member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a secretary, an ex officio, and 11 members. The Committee operates under a House mandate to evaluate legislation over Georgia's criminal code, drug enforcement procedures, sentencing guidelines, and parole and pardons.[1]
Scope and jurisdiction
The House Judiciary Non-Civil Committee is responsible for all legislative measures relating to Georgia's criminal code, drug enforcement procedures, sentencing guidelines, and parole and procedures for parole and pardons. The committee's jurisdiction includes immigration regulation throughout the state as well.[1]
