Tat Mok National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติตาดหมอก) is a national park in Phetchabun Province, Thailand. It is home to spectacular waterfalls and rugged mountain terrain.^[2]

Geography

Tat Mok National Park is located about 15 kilometres (10 mi) east of Phetchabun in Mueang district. The park's area is 290 square kilometres (110 sq mi). It is contiguous with Nam Nao National Park. The park's streams and waterfalls provide a main source for the Pa Sak and Chi rivers.^[2]^[3]

Attractions

Tat Mok Waterfall is a single-level waterfall 200 metres (700 ft) to 300 metres (1,000 ft) high originating in the Tat Mok mountains.^[2] Song Nang Waterfall is a 12-level waterfall in a lush and shaded setting near the border with Nam Nao National Park.^[2]^[4]

Flora and fauna

The park features forest types including mixed deciduous, deciduous dipterocarp and dry evergreen. Tree species include takian, Dipterocarpus alatus, Xylia xylocarpa, teak, Pterocarpus macrocarpus, tabaek as well as various bamboos.^[2]

Animal species include elephant, macaque, serow, barking deer and wild boar. Avian life includes drongo and nightjar.^[1]^[2]
