Dayton, Lassen County, California

Dayton is a former settlement in Lassen County, California.^[1] It was located 20 miles (32 km) east of Susanville.^[1]

A post office operated at Dayton from 1873 to 1875.^[1] The town was named after Dayton, Nevada, the first postmaster's home town.^[1]
