Sturgeon, California

Sturgeon is a former settlement in Merced County, California.[1] It was located on the 11 miles (18 km) southwest of Hills Ferry.[1]

A post office operated at Sturgeon from 1884 to 1890, when service was transferred to Ingomar.[1] The name honored Inis Sturgeon, its first postmaster.[1]
