Pylema, California

Pylema is a former settlement in Kern County, California.^[1] It was located on the stage line 10 miles (16 km) south-southwest of Bakersfield.^[1]

A post office operated at Pylema from 1895 to 1905.^[1] The name honored Mary R. Pyle, early settler and postmaster.^[1]
