Last Chance (formerly, Clifton and Caroline Diggings)^[2] is an unincorporated community in Placer County, California.^[1] Last Chance is located 7.5 miles (12.1 km) northeast of Michigan Bluff.^[2] It lies at an elevation of 4564 feet (1391 m).^[1]

Last Chance was named by miners.^[3] The Last Chance post office operated from 1865 to 1869 and from 1909 to 1919.^[2]
