The Walter S. and Melissa E. Barnes House is a historic house at 140 Highland Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts. The 2.5 story wood frame house, built c. 1885-95, is one of a few virtually unchanged Queen Anne/Stick style Victorians in the city. It has a half-round window in the front gable, and its front porch has Stick-style braces supporting the roof. The house was built for Walter S. Barnes, who worked in the box-making business in Boston, and was also owned for many years by local politician Robert Luce.[2]

The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.[1]
