The 2018 general election will be held in the U.S. state of Texas on November 6, 2018. All of Texas' executive officers will be up for election as well as a United States Senate seat, and all of Texas' thirty-six seats in the United States House of Representatives.

Governor

Incumbent Republican Governor Greg Abbott will be eligible to run for re-election to a second term.

Lieutenant Governor

Incumbent Republican Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick will be eligible to run for re-election to a second term.

Attorney General

Incumbent Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton will be eligible to run for re-election to a second term.

Potential Republican candidates include U.S. Representative Michael McCaul, who is a former Deputy Attorney General.^[1]

Comptroller of Public Accounts

Incumbent Republican Comptroller Glenn Hegar will be eligible to run for re-election to a second term.

Commissioner of the General Land Office

Incumbent Republican Commissioner George P. Bush will be eligible to run for re-election to a second term.

Commissioner of Agriculture

Incumbent Republican Commissioner Sid Miller will be eligible to run for re-election to a second term.

Railroad Commissioner

Incumbent Republican Commissioner Christi Craddick will be eligible to run for re-election to a second six-year term.

United States Senate

Incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz is running for re-election to a second term.^[2]

United States House of Representatives

All of Texas' thirty-six seats in the United States House of Representatives will be up for election in 2018.
