Olema is an unincorporated community in the U.S. state of Washington.

It is located at 48°17′09″N 119°48′15″W / 48.28583°N 119.80417°W / 48.28583; -119.80417 (48°17′09″N 119°48′15″W / 48.2857039°N 119.804232°W / 48.2857039; -119.804232).[1]

History

A post office called Olema was established in 1896, and remained in operation until 1924.[2]

On December 17, 1924, Jimmie Fehlhaber (13, male) was attacked and killed near Olema as he tried to outrun a cougar for about 100 yards.[3][4]
