Pentatonix concert chronology

Pentatonix World Tour 2016[1] was the second headlining concert tour by American a cappella group Pentatonix to promote their eponymous album. The tour began on April 2, 2016, in Chiba, Japan at Makuhari Messe in part of Popspring 2016 and concluded on November 22, in Houston.

Background and development

On February 9, 2016, Pentatonix announced that they would be begin touring North America on April 13, 2016. They announced Us The Duo will serve as the opening act of the tour.[2]

On February 23, 2016, Pentatonix announced through their Instagram and Twitter that they will be going to Chiba, Kobe, and Nagoya in Japan for their tour that will be part of Popspring 2016. Popspring 2016 officially starts on April 2, 2016.

On March 1, 2016, Pentatonix announced the first leg of European dates. Erato will join the group for the Birmingham and London shows. The European leg starts in Dublin on May 23, 2016.

On March 23, 2016, Pentatonix announced that AJ Lehrman would be the second opening act for the North American dates.

On April 2, 2016, Pentatonix announced they will return to Japan that will be a part of Summer Sonic Festival that will be held in Chiba and Osaka on August 20 and 21.

On May 12, 2016, Pentatonix announced a second leg in North America starting on October 17, 2016.

On June 6, 2016, the organizer of the Singapore Grand Prix announced that Pentatonix will be perform in Singapore on September 17 as part of the Formula 1 2016 Singapore Grand Prix.
