Papinville, Missouri

Papinville is an unincorporated community in Bates County, Missouri, in the United States.[1]

History

Papinville was platted in 1847.[2] The community was named for Melicourt Papin, a French trader.[3] A post office called Papinville was established in 1848, and remained in operation until 1906.[4]

The Papinville Marais des Cygnes River Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.[5]
