Montana Academy (John A. McKinnon, MD. Clinical Director and Founder.[1]) is a small coeducational therapeutic boarding school in Marion, Montana with emotional growth and academic programs. [2][3] The school is for students age 14-18 (high school) and enrollment is generally around 70 students.The school caters mostly to drug addicted teens and or victims of assault as well as video game addicts and teens addicted to self harm. The school, and others like it, have faced criticism and controversy from journalists who question the efficacy, safety, and quality assurance of "troubled teen" programs.

Location

Montana Academy is located in Lost Prairie, about forty-five minutes west of Kalispell.
