Local elections will be held in the Las Piñas on May 9, 2016 within the Philippine general election. The voters will elect for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, the one Congressman, and the councilors, six in each of the city's two legislative districts.

Imelda Aguilar, the wife of the current city mayor, Vergel Aguilar will be going up against former councilor Benjamin Gonzales for the mayoralty position.
