Brent Cross Thameslink or Brent Cross Parkway[2] (which may not be the name eventually chosen)[3] is a planned Thameslink station on the Midland Main Line. It would serve Brent Cross and the northern parts of Cricklewood and Dollis Hill areas of North London and the proposal is part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood development, which also sees an investment to Cricklewood station further down the line.[4]

The planned site

The station is planned to be on the current Cricklewood TMD (Traction maintenance depot) which is used by East Midlands Trains and Thameslink. The depot would be moved slightly south onto a bigger site.[5]

Cricklewood station

Cricklewood station is south of the planned station, and the developers of the Brent Cross Cricklewood development are planning to upgrade that station as well[4] which they say would not happen if Cricklewood station were to close.[6] Because of the proposed station, Cricklewood station platforms are not being extended to 12 carriage length, under the Thameslink Programme.[7]

Brent Cross Cricklewood development

Outline planning permission is for Brent Cross Cricklewood, a 14,000,000 square feet (1.3 km2) development of a new town centre in Brent Cross. The plan includes the new station and expanding jobs by around 27,000 and building 7,500 homes, expanding Brent Cross Shopping Centre a new hotel, cinema, a new bus station and new roads.[8]

Light rail interchange

Under the proposal for the North and West London Light Railway, Brent Cross Thameslink station would be an interchange with Light Rail services to Harlesden and Brent Cross underground station.[8]
