Maghull North is a proposed new railway station at the north end of Maghull, Merseyside, England. It would primarily serve as the main station for Moss Side, Ashworth Hospital and a planned new prison.

It was announced in December 2010 that the planned prison and the proposed new railway station had been axed by Government spending cutbacks.[2]

However, in June 2014 it was announced that the land was to be used for a housing and that the station would be built as part of the project.[3] Further mention was made in Merseytravel's 30 Year Plan[4] and in November 2015 proposals were opened for public comment.[5][6]

In October 2016, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority approved the business case for the station, which will cost £13 million to build. The station will have 132m platforms, a 156-space car park, step-free access and provision for electric vehicle charging points, as well as connections to pedestrian, bus and cycle routes. If Sefton council grants planning permission, work will begin from August 2017 and the station will open in May 2018.[7]
