WLAC is a part of the California Community Colleges System, in the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD). It is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.[3] The school offers Associate's degrees, 18 vocational-oriented programs in addition to 25 transfer programs.
