Vallecitos is an unincorporated community located in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, United States. The community is located along state route 576 at the corner of SR 576 and New Mexico State Road 111 22.7 miles (36.5 km) north-northeast of Abiquiú, or 14 miles north-northwest of Ojo Caliente. Vallecitos has a post office with ZIP code 87581.[1][3] Aside from the post office,[4] there is a community center and library.

Vallecitos is a small community whose resources are limited and do not sustain public facilities. Water is one of the communities most needed resources and accommodations are not currently available. It is an inconvenience because the closest public facility is in Ojo Caliente approximately 14 miles away.
