Milo Murphy's Law (previously titled Mikey Murphy's Law[1]) is an American animated television series from the creators of Phineas and Ferb, Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, which premiered on October 3, 2016[2] on Disney XD. The series revolves around the title character, Milo Murphy, who is the descendant of Edward A. Murphy Jr., the namesake of Murphy's law, which states that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.[3]

Zack Underwood, a new kid in Swamp City, meets Milo Murphy, the unluckiest kid in town. Because of Milo's misfortune, he and Zack both miss the bus for school, so Milo shows Zack a "shortcut" to school, while attempting to avoid wolves, bees, fire, and even an alien abduction. Meanwhile, Melissa Chase, a friend of Milo's, collects lunches as wagers from other students on whether or not Milo and Zack will make it to school before the bell rings.

Milo, Zack, and Melissa's subway car gets derailed on their way to a field trip to the museum. While trying to find their way to the museum, they encounter a society of construction workers who have been underground for a long time.

At school, Milo's teacher, Mrs. Murawski, announces that the class will be starting a new physics project, testing everything they have learned about gravity, inertia and weight distribution by building a container that will allow an egg to survive a fall from the roof of the school. It doesn't take the class long to split up into teams of three, with Milo, Zack and Melissa being the last team formed (by default, as no one else wants to team up with Milo).

Milo and his sister, Sara, who are huge fans of the science-fiction television series The Doctor Zone Files, take "newbies" Zack and Melissa along with them to see the new Doctor Zone movie. However, Sara is hardly taking any chances with the effects of Murphy's law.

But of course, everything goes wrong. Meanwhile, Dakota and Cavendish try and make sure a shipment truck full of pistachios make it to the pistachio warehouse.

Milo and his friends visit a dude ranch. While horse back riding, they meet a girl named Jackie who joins their posee, and Zack is smitten with love. But, Jackie leads them into more danger than usual. Meanwhile, Sara is going crazy because the ranch reminds her of scenes from The Doctor Zone Files, and invites other fans to join in the geek fest.

The first episode of the show was released for free at Google Play,iTunes Store and Amazon on September 19, 2016, followed by its official premiere on October 3, 2016 on Disney XD in the United States. The show premiered on Disney XD in Canada on October 17, 2016 and will premiere on Disney XD channels worldwide, such as Latin America and Southeast Asia in either December 2016 or January 2017. It will premiere on Disney XD and Disney Channel in the United Kingdom in December 2016.
