Jinkee Jamora-Pacquiao (born Jinkee Capeña Jamora;[Note] January 12, 1979) is the wife of professional Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao and a former vice governor of Sarangani, in Mindanao, Philippines.[1]

Political career

In 2014, Pacquiao decided to run for vice governor of Sarangani province in Mindanao,[3] after her husband was reluctant to choose between two friends who both wanted his support for the position.[4] She was elected in the May 2013 election as the candidate of the United Nationalist Alliance.[2][5]

After her first and only term, Jinkee had decided to retire from politics to focus on their family and her businessses.[6]

Personal life

Jinkee Jamora was born at St. Elizabeth Hospital in General Santos at 2:00 AM on January 12, 1979 into the conservative family of Nestor Jamora (born c. 1956, Kiamba, Sarangani) and Rosalina Capeña (born c. 1957, Silago, Southern Leyte). Her older twin sister is Janet.[7] She was working as a beauty consultant when she met Manny Pacquiao,[4] whom she married in 2000.[8] They have five children.[1] On April 27, 2014, she gave birth to a boy named Israel Pacquiao.[9]
