Hindsboro is a village in Douglas County, Illinois, United States. The population was 313 at the 2010 census.

As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 361 people, 138 households, and 93 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,173.1 people per square mile (449.6/km²). There were 144 housing units at an average density of 467.9 per square mile (179.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.49% of the population.

There were 138 households out of which 31.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.2% were married couples living together, 5.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.6% were non-families. 29.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 3.12.

In the village the population was spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 16.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 95.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.1 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $32,604, and the median income for a family was $36,023. Males had a median income of $30,250 versus $18,636 for females. The per capita income for the village was $14,014. About 11.8% of families and 16.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 18.8% of those under age 18 and 28.8% of those age 65 or over.
