The inaugural Greater Manchester mayoral election will be held on 4 May 2017 to elect the Mayor of Greater Manchester, (subsequent elections will be held May 2020 and then every four years after that).^[1]

The voting system for the election is currently unknown whether first-past-the-post or a supplementary vote, like in London.
