Freeman Street is a local station on the IRT White Plains Road Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Freeman Street and Southern Boulevard in Crotona Park East, Bronx, it is served by the 2 train at all times, and the 5 train at all other times except during late nights and rush hours in the peak direction.

The station resembles Prospect Avenue, with three tracks and two curved side platforms. It also has heaters, as well as a wooden mezzanine, floor, and open old booth similar to the one at Simpson Street. Due to the curves in the platforms, train announcements warn passengers to "be careful of the gap between the platform and the train"; the station does not have any gap fillers.
Freeman Street was opened on November 26, 1904, and was a terminal for the Bergen Avenue By-pass spur of the IRT Third Avenue Line prior to 1955.[2] On July 10, 1905 the "IRT Broadway Express Line" was constructed at Jackson Avenue, and the station began serving these trains as well. Third Avenue Line service ended on May 12, 1955. The station was renovated in 2004.
