Fairy Tail Gaiden: Flash of Great Lightning (Japanese: フェアリーテイル 外伝 雷豪一閃, Hepburn: Fearī Teiru Gaiden Raigō Issen) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kyouta Shibano, based on Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail series. It ran from May 4 to September 14 in 2016.

Plot

The story takes place after Fairy Tail's disbandment, the events of Laxus Dreyar and the Thunder God Tribe.

Characters

Laxus Dreyar (ラクサス・ドレアー, Rakusasu Doreā)

A second generation Thunder Dragon Slayer and the strongest member of Thunder God Tribe.

Fried Justine (フリード・ジャスティーン, Furīdo Jasutīn)

Is the founder and leader of the Thunder God Tribe.

Evergreen (エバーグリーン, Ebāgurīn)

A 20-year-old wizard and a the sole female member of Thunder God Tribe.

Bickslow (ビックスロー, Bikkusurō)

A 22-year-old wizard who practices seith magic and a member of Thunder God Tribe.

Ichiya Vandalay Kotobuki (一夜＝ヴァンダレイ＝寿, Ichiya-Vandarei-Kotobuki),

A ugly man who uses magical perfumes that produce a variety of effects such as superhuman strength and speed and a member of Blue Pegasus.

Release

Kyouta Shibano began serializing the manga in the Magazine Pocket smartphone app from May 4, 2016 to September 14, 2016.The series amassed a total of 19 chapters during its run.
