El Gran Show 2016: Reyes del Show

Reyes del Show (Show Kings) is the original spin off of the Peruvian TV series El Gran Show

This season will join the top three couples of the two first seasons. In addition it was confirmed that added new couples in this season, being the second time (The first time was in "Reyes del Show 2015") in the history of the program participants would be added in the seasons of "The Reyes Show" performed in each annual edition. Began on October 29, 2016.

Couples

The participating couples of this season were conformed by the first three positions of the first and second season.^[1] During the broadcast of the first episode, the income of the dancer Thiago Cunha^[2] and of Yahaira Plasencia,^[3] who was a challenger and later winner of "Reyes del Show 2015", as regular competitors. It was also reported that Lucas Piró, a dance partner of Rosángela Espinoza, would not participate in an injury caused in the rehearsals,^[4] being replaced by Freddy Reyes during the first week, even so Piró decided to return to competition in the second week.^[5]

Host and judges

Gisela Valcarcel returned as a presenter while Miguel Arce did not return as co-presenter, being the first time in the history of the program in which Valcárcel is the only presenter in a season. Morella Petrozzi, Carlos Cacho, Pachi Valle Riestra and Michelle Alexander returned as judges. The procedure of the only VIP judge present at each gala continued this season.

Lifeguard

From the fourth week when a couple is eliminated by the public through telephone voting, the jury decides whether the continuous competition. There are only 2 lifeguards

Week 1: Acrobatic Salsa Night

• Judge Vip: Andrea Llosa.

The couples danced Acrobatic Salsa. Lucas Piró, dancing couple of Rosángela Espinoza, does not participate due to injury caused in the trials, so Freddy Reyes replaced him during the first week. Salsa are introduced.

Week 2: Tributes Night

The couples danced a dance fusion that merges two dance styles to pay tribute to artists and musical genres. Due to a tragedy that engulfs his mother, Carlos Cacho was not present at this week. In "The versus dance" danced Bachata, where the VIP judge, Rebeca Escribens also cast her vote. Adagio, Bachata, Chicha, Cumbia, Disco, Hip-hop, Jazz, Rock and Roll, Sexy dance, Swing, Tex-Mex and Timba are introduced.

Week 3: Synchronization dance

The couples (except sentenced couples) danced two dance styles synchronized which consisted of a continuous dance style to another, synchronized with another pair formed by members of the dance body of the program. In addition, women belonging to each of the couples clashed on "The trencito" dancing Reggaetón, where the VIP judge, Sandra Arana also cast her vote. Electronic tango, Festejo, Guaracha, Latin Pop, Merengue, Pachanga, Quebradita, Reggaetón, Samba and Toada are introduced.

Week 4: Partner Switch

The couples (except sentenced couples) danced Jive, with a different professional partner as part of the "Partner Switch" for that week only. All celebrities returned to their original partners on Week 5. In addition, there was the versus of Bollywood, where only Christian & Isabel and Thiago & Thati faced each other; The winning couple gained two extra points along with the couples, who by decision of the celebrities, decided to support them. Bollywood and Jive are introduced.

Week 5: Trio Dances

The celebrities (except the celebrities in "The Duel") they performed a dance in trio involving an another celebrity; In addition, It has been made "The Versus" where Rosángela & Lucas faced Belen & Waldir (couple of El Gran Show 2011 (season 2) and El Gran Show (2011): Reyes del Show); The winning couple gained two extra points along with the couples, who by decision of the celebrities, decided to support them. Caporales and Saya are introduced.

During the program, it was announced that Milett Figueroa and Patricio Quiñones would no longer continue in competition, because Figueroa would make a trip of two weeks for a beauty contest in South Korea.
