EPlusTV6 is a local public access cable television channel serving the customers of its owner, the Jackson Energy Authority (JEA), which is based in Jackson, Tennessee. It is seen on channel 6 on JEA’s basic cable channel lineup.[1]

EPlus TV 6 can also be viewed on the internet via LiveStream.[2]

Programming

EPlus TV6 provides coverage of City Council Meetings at the Jackson City Hall, as well as Board of Education Meetings, as well as Madison County Commission Meetings. It also provides televised worship services from the First Baptist Church in Jackson and the Skyline Church of Christ to cater customers who can not make it to their church services. [3]

Most of this station’s programming is original from the EPlusTV6 studio facilities, with only a few exceptions: syndicated programming on EPlusTV6’s schedule include WNPT-produced Tennessee Wild Side, and WZTV-produced Titans All Access, both originating from these two stations’ respective studios in Nashville.

Sports programming

EPlusTV6, along with WJKT, are the Jackson area’s homes to the TSSAA state high school football and basketball championships that are produced by PlayOn! Sports and Mann Communications. This includes the BlueCross Bowl Football Championships. [4] E Plus TV 6 also broadcasts coach’s shows originating from the Vol Network, which originates from the University of Tennessee and are devoted to Tennessee Volunteers football, men’s and women’s basketball. Newscasts, entitled Jackson 24/7, on EPlus TV 6 originates from Union University’s Mass Media department. [5]
