When she was eight her family relocated to Suzhou for three years before moving to Shanghai, where she completed her International Baccalaureate studies in Shanghai Singapore International School. Following which, she spent one year studying in Hong Kong before deciding to pursue her education back in her home country, Singapore.

Cheryl has also recently converted to the vegan lifestyle, living on a largely plant-based diet and actively seeking out cruelty free products in her daily life.
