Astrid Sartiasari, or Astrid (born January 27, 1982) is an Indonesian singer. She garnered fame for the single "Jadikan Aku Yang Kedua", which listed for compilation album Cilapop 2006.

Early life

Astrid Sartiasari was born on January 27, 1982, to Drs. H.M. Ali Basjar and Dra. Siti Kustiyah. She was born and grew up in Surabaya, East Java. She had joining with one of band, but eventually disbanded. Previously, she earning award for Best Vocal of Band Festival High School in her hometown. She offered to solo singer by Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia for her unique voice.

Career

2003–2005: Soundtrack and Astrid

After that, Sony Music invited her to filling the soundtrack for film Tusuk Jelangkung through single "Ratu Cahaya". Sartiasari singing to Yovie Widianto' newer single work "Tak 100%" for compilation album A Portrait of Yovie and also singing two recycle songs, "Di Dadaku Ada Kamu" and "Cinta", for the soundtrack for the film Vina Bilang Cinta.

Her debut self-titled studio album was released on 2005 and contained to different genre, like dark pop. It producing first single "Cinta Itu" which became part of soundtrack for horror film Mirror.[1]

2007–2009: Collaboration and Jadikan Aku Yang Kedua

Sartiasari had collaboration with Indonesian alternative rock and metal band Saint Loco for single "Kedamaian". Her second studio album Jadikan Aku Yang Kedua (nee Repackaged) was released and first single, same title album, making her receiving a great success for music industry and had winning the competition song in 2006 reality program Cilapop.

In 2007, she returning filled soundtrack for film Badai Pasti Berlalu through single "Merpati Putih" who had previously sung by Indonesian legend singer Chrisye. She had collaboration with Ello for "Dusta Diatas Cinta".

2010–2013: Lihat Aku Sekarang and Terpukau

Three years later, Sartasari returning released third studio album Lihat Aku Sekarang[2] and producing first single "Tentang Rasa" making her returning to success in Indonesian television and other chart song.[3] Sartiasari earning Double Platinum award for downloaded over two million as RBT (Ring Back Tone).[4] She earning a Most Popular Female Singer award at the 2011 Indosat Awards.[5]

In addition, Sartiasari returning the single "Mendua" which subsequently earning nomination for Best Pop Female Solo Artist at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia in 2012. Followed by it, Sartiasari released fourth studio album Terpukau and written by some Indonesian top musician, such as Tohpati, Ade Govinda, Jeje Govinda, Tere, and other.[6]
