The 40th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held in 1992 in the Philippines . This is for the Outstanding Achievements of the different films for the year 1991.

For this year Nora Aunor and Director Lino Brocka was elevated to the Hall of Fame for winning their respective category five or more times. On the other hand, Dawn Zulueta was the actress who won the most awards, holding the distinction of winning both the Filipino Academy of Movies Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) awards for Best Lead Actress (Hihintayin Kita sa Langit) and Best Supporting Actress (Una Kang Naging Akin) in 1991.^[1]
