The 11th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held on April 14, 1963, for the Outstanding Achievements for the year 1962.

El Filibusterismo was the other book of Dr. Jose Rizal that was made into movie by the same company who made the movie Noli Me Tangere. The movie won FAMAS Award for Best Picture and another FAMAS for Best Director to Gerardo de Leon.^[1]
