The 2016–17 season is Leicester City's 112th season in the English football league system and their 49th (non-consecutive) season in the top tier of English football.[1] This season Leicester City participate in the Premier League for the third consecutive season as well as the FA Cup and League Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017. The club will also take part in the pre-season International Champions Cup and are guaranteed to enter the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League at the group stage. Leicester City will enter the 2016–17 season as reigning Premier League champions after winning the Premier League title in the 2015–16 season.
