St Ives West (electoral division)

St Ives West is an electoral division of Cornwall in the United Kingdom and returns one member to sit on Cornwall Council. The current Councillor is Andrew Mitchell, an Independent who is the Portfolio Holder for Homes on the council.[1]

Extent

St Ives West covers the west part of the town of St Ives, the villages of Halsetown and Towednack as well as the hamlets of Amalveor, Georgia, and Trevalgan. Parts of Nancledra and Cripplesease are also included, with both being divided between the divisions of St Ives West and Ludgvan.[2]

Up until the 2013 election, the division of St Ives North covered much of what is now St Ives West.[3][4] It was abolished after boundary changes.
