Qaradağlı, Khojavend

Qaradağlı (Garadaghly; Armenian: Վարանդա, romanized: Varanda) is a village de jure in the Khojavend District of Azerbaijan, de facto in the Martuni Province of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh. The village had 70 inhabitants in 2005.[1]

History

The village had an Azerbaijani majority prior to their expulsion and massacre during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War.[2] It was the location of Garadaghly massacre which saw the deaths of 20-90 Azerbaijani civilians.[3][4]
