NGC 6380

NGC 6380 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Scorpius. It was discovered by the British astronomer John Herschel on 29 June 1834. It is at a distance of about 35,500 light years away from earth.[4] NGC 6380 was initially characterized as an open cluster, and given the designation Pişmiş 25, however later in 1950, the American astronomer A. David Thackeray found that it is actually a globular cluster.[2]
