List of Hazfi Cup finals

The Hazfi Cup is the Iranian football knockout cup competition, run by the Iranian Football Federation. This list encompasses the results of the finals.

In total, 33 finals of Hazfi Cup have been contested throughout the 45 years of history of the competition, starting in the 1975–76 season with the first clash between Malavan and Tractor sazi. So far, only 23 teams have reached the Hazfi cup finals, of which 13 teams have won the championship. Esteghlal is the most successful club with seven titles and 12 appearances in the finals.[1]

Overview

The competition was founded in 1975 as Pahlavi Cup but after revolution continued as Hazfi Cup. The first final was held between Malavan and Tractor sazi on 23 December 1976. Malavan won 4–1 in Amjadieh Stadium.[2] Two seasons held with the name Pahlavi Cup and after that, 9 years not held due to Revolution and War. The competitions continued from 1986 to 1987 up to now (except 1989–90, 1992–93 and 1997–98).[3]
