Clauvid Dály

Clauvid Dály Cabrera (born February 5, 2001) is an American-born Dominican model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Dominican Republic 2019. She represented the Dominican Republic in the Miss Universe 2019 competition.[1][2]

Personal life

Dály was born in Florida, United States, and has been living in Punta Cana since age 1. Her father is from Santiago while her mother is from San Pedro. Dály is also an English teacher and soon she will be getting her pilot licence for commercial airplanes.[3]

Pageantry

Dály began her pageantry career representing Punta Cana at the Miss Dominican Republic 2019 competition held on August 18, 2019 where she was chosen as the winner. She represented Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2019 competition and Placed as Top 20.[4] She is the fourth woman of predominantly African heritage to represent the Dominican Republic in Miss Universe after Ruth Ocumárez in 2002, Ada de la Cruz in 2009, and Yaritza Reyes in 2013.
