Airport Express (Hangzhou Metro)

The Airport Express line (simplified Chinese: 机场轨道快线; traditional Chinese: 機場軌道快線; pinyin: Jīchǎng Guǐdào Kuàixiàn) of the Hangzhou Metro, also known as the Central Express line (中轴快线; 中軸快線; Zhōngzhóu Kuàixiàn) or Line 31, Line K1, is an under construction rapid transit line in Hangzhou.[1][2][3] The line is expected to be operational in 2022.[1]

The line has a length of 58.5 km (36.4 mi), including 46.5 km (28.9 mi) underground section.[1] There will be 15 stations on the line, including 11 underground stations.[1] The line will use 6-car Type A rolling stock.[1]

It will connect Hangzhou West railway station, Alibaba headquarters, Hangzhou East railway station and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, and the termini will be Tiaoxi station and Jingjiang station. It will cross the Qiantang River on a rebuilt Road–Railway Bridge with the Huhangyong Expressway (Zhejiang Expressway S2).[4]
