Yuya (born March 13, 1993 in Cuernavaca, Mariand Castrejon Castañeda) is a Mexican YouTuber on beauty, using the name lady16makeup.[3][4] In December 2015 Bustle described her as the highest paid beauty blogger of 2015 and quoted Ad Age as estimating her income from her YouTube account as $41,000 per month.[5]
In March 2016 she was one of a group of seven female YouTube creators who joined the United Nations' Sustainable Development Action Campaign, aiming to "achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls".[6]
As of August 2016 her channel is the 16th most subscribed on YouTube, directly lower than Jenna Marbles and directly higher than VEGETTA777. Her channel, with over 16 million subscribers,[7] grows at a rate of about 60,000 subscribers per week.[8]
In Tubefilter's Top 100 Most Subscribed YouTube Channels Worldwide • May 2016 Yuya was listed as number 49, and the only channel from Mexico in the top 100. She had 351,643 subscribers that month and 47,619,845 views, and all-time figures of 16,5 million subscribers (and counting up) and 1,479,479,643 views.[9]
