Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster is a double launch family roller coaster that is currently being built at SeaWorld San Antonio and is slated to open in June of 2017. The coaster will be designed to emphasize SeaWorld's animal rescue efforts. It will be the first jet ski roller coaster in North America and will incorporate cars designed as jet skis used by SeaWorld's rescue team. Most of the track will be built over the park's lake.[1]

Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster will stand 61 feet (19 m) tall with a top speed of 44 miles per hour (71 km/h).
Trains
Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster will operate with two trains. Each train will seat 16 riders in eight rows of two. This will give the ride a theoretical hourly capacity of 886 riders per hour. The train will feature cars which resemble jet skis. Riders will be restrainted with lap restraints.
Theme
The coaster will be themed after SeaWorld's animal rescue team and cars will be designed as jet skis that resemble the ones that are used by the rescue team. Most of the coaster will be built just above the surface of the park's lake to make guests feel as if they are on a mission to rescue an animal.
Ride experience
Once riders are seated and restrained, the train will be launched away from the loading station and go up a 61 feet (19 m) camelback hump (The highest point of the coaster). The train will then glide across the surface of the park's lake simulating a real jet ski ride. Halfway through the ride, the train will go to the only section of the track that is on land which is on a small artificial island in the lake. After a few more seconds, the train will make its way back into the station.
