The Phone Call (1977 film)

The Phone Call is a 24-minute film produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It tells the story of a young man, Scott, who works at a burger joint to earn money for karate lessons. He finds it difficult to talk to the girl he likes while at the same time easily becomes friends with a female coworker, Becky. The story was based on an article by Jack Weyland published in the New Era in February 1976.^[1] The film is available through the Brigham Young University Office of Creative Works on a compilation DVD with other LDS films.^[2] In 2012 it was made available on YouTube by the copyright holders (see external links below).
