The Outlet Collection Seattle, formerly SuperMall of the Great Northwest, is an outlet mall in Auburn, Washington. It is anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy, Sam's Club and LA Fitness (formerly VisionQuest).

History

Upon opening in 1995, its original anchors included Nordstrom Rack, Bed Bath and Beyond, Oshman's Sports, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, and Incredible Universe.[2] Incredible Universe closed in 1997[3] and became Sam's Club in 1999.[4]

In its first year of business, the mall drew more than 14 million customers and comprised 175 stores.[5] By 1998, Off Fifth had closed.[6]

In May 2012, Glimcher announced that Supermall would be renamed The Outlet Collection Seattle.[7]

New development has occurred in and around the mall since the mid-2000s, with the addition of several strip malls and restaurants. This culminated in 2010 with the opening of a new Walmart Supercenter.[8]
