Team Bath are part of the Netball Superleague (UK), which consists of the top eight netball teams in England and Wales. Team Bath is the brand name of the University of Bath's sports operation. The club is located in Bath, Somerset, South West England.[1] The Team Bath franchise represents the South West and West of England.

Team Bath are the nation's most successful Netball Superleague team, winning five of the ten campaigns contested to date with victories in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2013.[2] They also won the 2013 Cathedral City Lighter FastNet Grand Prix, winning all five of their matches.

Head coach of the Superleague team is Anna Stembridge (née Mayes), while the director of netball is Jess Thirlby (née Garland).

Carter Jonas is Team Bath Netball’s property partner. Surridge is the official kit supplier and Skins provide the team with compression wear.

2016 Season

The 2016 Team Bath Netball squad was made up of Eboni Beckford-Chambers (captain), Samantha Cook, Claire Brownie, Shaunagh Craig, Nicole Humphrys, Alana John, Chelsea Lewis, Karla Mostert, Sarah Penny, Lenize Potgieter, Mia Ritchie, Laura Rudland, Rachel Shaw, Amanda Varey and Jo Vann.[3] University of Bath students Humphrys and Rudland replaced Jazz Scott and Asha Francis, who had to withdraw from the squad once the season had started.

Team Bath reached the Superleague semi-finals by finishing fourth in the final table, level on points with Surrey Storm and Hertfordshire Mavericks in second and third respectively. Manchester Thunder topped the table.[4]

Team Bath lost 53-46 at Manchester Thunder in the semi-finals but beat Hertfordshire Mavericks 49-48 in the third-place play-off to finish the season as bronze medallists.
