Universitas Negeri Padang is state university in Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia, which was established on 1 September 1954. Currently, the rector is Prof. Dr. Phil. H. Yanuar Kiram. Previously, the rector was Prof. Dr. Z. Mawardi Effendi, M.Pd.
