The Saxony-Anhalt state election was held on March 20, 2011 in Saxony-Anhalt for the 20th legislative period of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt. The Minister-President since 2002 has been Wolfgang Böhmer (CDU), who formed a grand coalition with the SPD after the previous state election in 2006. He did not run for re-election.

Post-election

On April 19, 2011, Reiner Haseloff was elected the new Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt and he continues the Grand coalition with the Social Democrats.
