The signalling centre for the East Suffolk line is located in the signal cabin on the Lowestoft bound platform. This formerly served as the control centre while the line was signalled using the Radio Electronic Token Block system (RETB).

The station is served by Abellio Greater Anglia, which operates services between Ipswich and Lowestoft.
