Salim Khan is an administrative unit, known as Union council of Swabi District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Salim Khan village is situated near Maneri village. At the north side of village Salim Khan, the district Bunir is located, which is 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) away. Salim Khan is one of the hilly villages where larger columns of hills are located.
Salim Khan village is surounded by a lot of villages, which include Maneri (south), Gohati (west), Gulo Derai (east), Maneri Payan (southeast), Totalai (north) and Naro (southwest).

Population

About 30,000 people have been living in the village. The population of Salim Khan village is increasing rapidly. Many ancestries of people are living here, which includes Ghurghuste, Bizadkhel, Shahkhan Khel, Qamral, Sedo khel, Kandar khel, Yara Khel and many others.

Economy

Salim Khan village inhabitants mostly depend on agriculture, which is a major source of livelihood. Different crops are grown here such as wheat, maize, sugar cane, peas and specially tobbaco for earning of more profit. Beyond this, many people (about 40 percent) are out of country and work overseas. Majority of people works in UAE for since long. By this people a maximum rate of money reaches to village and helps in making prosperity and development of village.
