Cancellation

With nothing more to prove as far as ratings were concerned, the GMA management decided to cancel SOP Gigsters in October 2006 and replaced it with Kapuso Movie Festival. Prior to SOP Gigster's cancellation, its competitor ASAP Fanatic was also cancelled a month earlier. Hosts Richard and Raymond Gutierrez were absorbed in SOP's roster of co-hosts while the other members of Gigsters such as Mark Herras, Ryza Cenon, Mike Tan, Marky Cielo and Dion Ignacio were able to secure prime spots in SOP as featured performers.
