The Roman Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Bogotá (Latin: Archidioecesis Bogotensis) is part of the Roman Catholic Church in Colombia. It was founded as the Diocese of Santafé en Nueva Granada on 11 September 1562.[1][2] The current Archbishop is Jesús Rubén Salazar Gómez since his appointment by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010.
