Red Deer Regional Airport, (IATA: YQF, ICAO: CYQF), is located 6 nautical miles (11 km; 6.9 mi) south southwest of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. The airport is mostly general aviation and charter service. The Penhold Air Cadet Summer Training Centre is located adjacent to the airport – near the town of Springbrook. Air Canada operates non-stop service to Calgary through its regional carrier Air Canada Express, and is operated by Air Georgian using Beechcraft 1900D aircraft.

In October 2015, Red Deer Regional announced it was to undergo a $9.5 million expansion, including a 2,000 ft (610 m) extension of unway 16/34, from 5,528 ft (1,685 m) to 7,528 ft (2,295 m). Construction began in April 2016, with an expected completion date of September 16, 2016. This will allow the airport to accommodate larger aircraft.[4]
