According to the report SIR 2013 World Report, about the quality of scientific research produced, the Polytechnic University of Bari have a normalized impact factor of 2.03, which is the highest among the Italian public universities. In comparison, the other polytechnical universities, even if more famous, have worse values: 1.42 for Polytechnic University of Milan, and 1.36 for Polytechnic University of Turin. According to the same report, the rate parameter of excellence that measures the percentage of articles that fall within the 10% most cited in the international bibliography, the Polytechnic of Bari is the highest value recorded in Italy: 22.61%, over other polytechnic universities too, Polytechnic Universities of Milan (16.62%) and Turin (15.82%).[1]
