Paraguayan presidential election, 1954

Presidential elections were held in Paraguay on 11 July 1954,[1] following a military coup on 8 May which toppled Federico Chávez who had been elected the previous year. Alfredo Stroessner of the Colorado Party was the only candidate, and was elected unopposed.[2]
